Jammu, January 12: Pakistan wants us to believe that it has forcefully begun acting on the dossiers sent by India regarding Pathankot attack and the involvement of Pakistani terrorists in it after United States of America came out openly asking Pakistan to act swiftly on the evidence provided.
Pakistan is supposed to have constituted a Joint Investigative Team comprising of Army, ISI and Intelligence Bureau but the question is can we believe Pakistan on its assertion or is it just enacting a drama to hoodwink the world and India together.
Going by the past history of Pakistan it is unlikely that it would actually act against the master minds of the terrorists but the way Modi government is handling the situation creating international pressure for the first time it seems even though Pakistan Government may have some other thoughts ultimately it would have to toe the line but then what about other major players like Army, ISI and terror organizations breeding on its soil.
India has very bad experience with Pakistan as it has always backstabbed us whenever we tried to extend the hand of friendship towards it but things are a bit different this time.
One India is headed by a strong Prime Minister who has focused more on international relations than domestic politics and secondly World is coming together against terror in a big way after ISIS posed a bigger threat to the civilized world forcing USA to act to compete with Russia in keeping its supremacy in the world.
But while one begins to believe Pakistanis something happens that dashes the hopes to ground only cementing the idea that Pakistan can never mend its ways as it is actually the breeding ground of terrorists that is fast becoming biggest terror supplier in the world.
The news that Pakistani military officers were involved in the attack on the Indian consulate in Mazar-e- Sharif in which assailants attempted to storm the mission building is a chilling reality about the real intentions and real players in that country.
The reposts coming in from Afghanistan quoted Sayed Kamal Sadat, a police chief of Balkh province saying “We saw with our own eyes and I can say 99 per cent that those attackers were from Pakistani military and used special tactics while conducting their operation.
Sadat said the attackers — officers from across the border — were well-trained military men who fought Afghan security forces in the 25-hour siege.
“The attackers were military personnel. They were educated and well prepared and had intelligence. They fought us and only by Allah’s grace were we able to control them and eliminate them,” Sadat was quoted as saying by a a media channel.
The police official said efforts were underway to track down, identify and detain those who assisted the attackers to gain access to the building that was opposite the Indian consulate.
“We are jointly working with the NDS director and have spoken about this — especially as they came here not able to speak in Dari or Pashtu but speaking in Urdu. It means obviously there is someone who guided those attackers and helped the attackers,” Sadat said.
Such incidents taking place repeatedly shake our belief in Pakistani governments sincerity and it seems what the Pakistan government is showing to the world at present is nothing serious but just a formality to keep US aid coming in even as US is also trying to present itself as big brother instead of actually willing to stop Pakistan from breeding terror.
It has been American policy since a long time to keep outside world busy in proxy wars and small confrontations to let its arms industry flourish as the country has been responsible for what the world is witnessing these days.
On a positive note we can only hope that better sense prevails in Pakistan and some concrete steps are taken to save this region from becoming another battle ground for the bigger powers even as terrorists have already started digging its foundations from all the corners.
