Jammu, February 23: In a democratic setup the power is divided equally between the ruling party and the Opposition to keep checks and balances on the working of the government for the development and progress of the nation. But strangely enough India is a country where democracy was adopted as a revolution after overthrowing the British Monarchy to do justice to the common man which however has been twisted so much over the years that it has become a malaise rather than a cure.
The Opposition in India at present seems in a big dilemma over its actual role and having tasted worst ever defeat after so many decades the Opposition is acting as a frustrated lover out to destroy everything that comes in its way.
The Opposition these days is in chaos and does not know how to behave out of power thus behaving like an enemy on the war path rather than a democratic Opposition which believes in Parliament and checks and balances.
The frustration of being out of power has jilted the Opposition so much that they have started supporting even the anti-nationals working for the destruction of the country.
One wonders what kind of politics is being preached currently by the Opposition as stalling the Parliamentary proceedings, attacking the government left right and centre, supporting the traitors and seditious elements openly instead of letting the Parliament function, frame laws and take the government to task in a true democratic way.
However what one gathers from the knee jerk reactions of the Opposition is that it feels threatened due to the consolidated policies and programmes of the new government which might expose their misdeeds over the years as some skeletons have already started stumbling out of the cupboards of the leaders of the Opposition parties.
It seems that the real reason for this strange behavior of the Opposition is its rampant corruption and appeasement polices during its long tenure that is slowly getting exposed due to transparency being adopted by the new dispensation threatening to bring down the castles of the hoax built by the Opposition which till recently ruled the country.
Had it not been so what would explain their seeking release of Kanahyia Kumar but demanding arrest of Advocate Vikram; how would one explain supporting Umar but denouncing those raising pro-India slogans, how would they explain their support for the supporters of Afzal Guru and Yakoob Menon knowing well it was their government that hanged them and boasted of punishing the criminals.
The current dispensation has no such credits as yet but strangely the Opposition has created such a situation through its chaotic politics that it seems all the nationalist things have been done by the current government while the Opposition has always been with the anti-nationals.
It is clear now that the Opposition that till recently was the ruling coalition is feeling frustrated after being out of power and stooping so low as to support anti-nationals and traitors to pressurize the government and seek amnesty for their follies over the years.
However the government needs to work honestly and consistently for the development of the nation and not get bogged down by the behavior of the Opposition as entire India is behind those who seek peace, progress, development and punishment to corrupt.
