Dulat’s revelations: For common man The ‘Truth’ is finally revealed

Jammu, July 08: Former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) chief AS Dulat has been on a bombshell dropping spree creating a flutter among the separatist and political circles in Jammu and Kashmir.

Dulat’s revelations have hogged the lime light even though most of the revelations are nothing new to the scribes who have been covering J&K extensively. However some of the revelations are quite uncomfortable for the separatist and militant camps operating in Jammu and Kashmir but for a common man many myths have been broken about his perception of the governance and the ultimate Truth that he exists nowhere in the power echelons of J&K has been finally revealed.

As they say God has many ways to reveal the truth and for the common man his God has chosen AS Dulat to reveal the truth of how the common man in this trouble torn state is just a pawn in the hands of people at the helm of affairs.

The revelations have revealed the truth that the fate of the common man is decided by a handful of bureaucrats and politicians at the helm of affairs at any given time.

Dulat may have many reasons to reveal the inner story at this juncture for his book or the other understanding but for a common man fighting to earn his bread and butter the revelations have busted many myths like sacrificing for the nation, working hard for great future of his children or getting a good job after a good qualification have no value and his fate depends on the games being played by the powers that be.

The myths are broken because now we know that the men at the helm of affairs are basically the modern day monarchs who play games according to their own whims and fancies while the common man pays the price.

Had it not been so how can any government or for the matter a spy agency justify offering a prestigious MBBS seat on a platter not to a meritorious or brilliant student but an average boy whose father is the biggest enemy of the state and responsible for hundreds of killings in Jammu and Kashmir.

This simply means we the common people are being befooled by the powers that be for asking us to clear exams through boards, get good ranks and study hard while the non deserving ones grab these seats merely on the whims and fancies of a spy chief who thinks this gesture would turn things around.

What justification will the government offer to the student who might have worked hard and waiting on the merit list to get the seat which was illegally offered to a militant’s son?

How can a government justify pumping huge money into Kashmir to contain insurgency when its officers are playing games with the terrorists while common man is hurled from one place to another like a shuttle cock?

A prestigious MBBS seat for which the children of common people study hard right form their childhood is not a sweet candy that can be distributed by spy agencies among the terrorists.

The revelations from the common man’s view are nothing but a jolt to the basic beliefs of the people that they are always kept in dark and truth is never being told to them while the matches’ remains fixed between the people in top power corridors and in opposition who play as per their likings.

It also indicates that government has multi-standards for different people which have left more than seventy thousand dead in the state while the top players are busy playing the games.

Another interesting point these revelations throw up is that the axiom “rules are for fools” is proven right by the government itself as otherwise how can one justify the arrest of former Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) chairman Mushtaq Ahmed Peer on account of his prima-facie involvement in the multi-crore question-paper-leakage scam while the government itself is indulging in open violation of rules by distributing MBBS seats among militants and anti-national elements.

The crux of the revelations is that a common man has been left at the mercy of the powerful people who decide his future on everyday basis and according to their own perceptions while it is just a chance or fate when a common man gets something good after a hard day’s work.
